Creative Movement

Creative Movement is an introduction to the basic concepts and principles of dance through positive and supportive teaching methods.  Students will work on movement, positions, posture, coordination skills, cooperation and class etiquette through imaginative movement and storytelling. The us of age appropriate music will  build rhythm and tonal skills and creative exercises promote comfort and excitement in the discovery of dance!

Thursdays from 4:15 to 5:00 pm | Starting October 11th

Stage Combat

Stage combat is a specialized movement discipline designed to create the illusion of physical combat without causing harm to the performers. It is employed in live stage plays, operatic, and ballet productions. The term is also used informally to describe fight choreography for other production media including film and television. It is a common field of study for actors and dancers and is closely related to the practice of stunts.

Combat 1:
For Beginners:  Fundamental single sword combat will be the focus for the session. Students will learn choreography, develop scenes, and perform their work for family and friends at the conclusion of the session.

Preschool Performing Arts

Preschool Performing Arts is an introduction to early childhood music, dance, and theater. We practice tonal and rhythmic competency through our bodies and voices. This primer class is a great chance for your child to explore the arts in a nurturing environment.

Ballet 1

This class will specifically utilize movement through classical ballet technique: positions, introduction to barre, alignment and class etiquette. Students will become familiarized with ballet terminology, the structure of a traditional class as well as quality of movement. Through this class, and by having ballet as a foundation, students will become technically stronger and will soon improve in every genre of dance.
